Vision4All began with a simple observation during a 2024 teaching visit to Sharp Memorial School for the Blind in Rajpur, India: students lacked basic school supplies that most of us take for granted.
What started as one teenager's mission has grown into two initiatives under one banner: collecting backpacks, school supplies, and educational materials for Sharp Memorial students thousands of miles away—and, closer to home, giving donated prescription eyeglasses new life for families across the United States through the ReSpectacle.org Garden City chapter.

From Classroom to Community
Every great initiative starts with a single step. Here's how Vision4All's first initiative evolved from a personal experience into a growing movement.
The Spark: Teaching in India
Volunteered at Sharp Memorial School for the Blind, teaching mathematics, English, geography, and environmental studies across multiple grades. Witnessed firsthand the challenges students face with limited resources.
First Backpack Drive
Launched the inaugural backpack collection campaign across Long Island. Collected approximately 100 used and new backpacks from generous community members who understood that their “extras” could transform a student's education.
Delivery & Distribution
Traveled to Sharp Memorial School to personally deliver the collected backpacks. Met with school staff and distributed supplies to students on campus during the holiday season.
Growing the Movement
Expanding beyond one person. Building a network of youth volunteers, launching new initiatives including braille book drives and remote tutoring programs, and creating replicable "chapter" models for other schools.
About Mihir
Mihir Goyal is a high school student from Long Island, New York, passionate about education equity and community service. Inspired by a 2024 teaching experience in India, he founded Vision4All to bridge the gap between resources and need.
What began as a personal mission has become a call to action for peers, families, and communities to recognize that small contributions create massive impact.

Clearer Vision, One Pair at a Time
Vision4All's second initiative: through the Garden City chapter of ReSpectacle.org—a national nonprofit—we collect and redistribute prescription eyeglasses to people who cannot afford them.
What We Do
As chapter president since 9th grade, Mihir organizes volunteer sessions to clean, sort, and batch donated prescription eyeglasses—preparing them for distribution to low-income households across the United States. What many set aside as “old” or “spare” becomes a clear view of the world for someone who needs it.
The Story So Far
Chapter Founded
Founded the Garden City chapter of ReSpectacle.org, bringing the national eyeglass-redistribution mission to Long Island.
First Cleaning & Batching Event
Partnered with Hofstra University medical students to organize the chapter's first cleaning and batching drive at the Garden City Public Library.
Optical Store Collection Drive
Collected donated eyeglasses from optical stores across Nassau County.
Second Cleaning & Batching Event
Partnered with the Girl Scouts of Garden City to organize the chapter's second cleaning and batching event.
Second Optical Store Collection
Returned to optical stores across Nassau County for another round of donated eyeglasses.
Third Cleaning & Batching Event
Partnered again with the Girl Scouts of Garden City for the chapter's third cleaning and batching event.
